From Dr. Goldfaden

“I've always wanted to help people," says Dr. Gary Goldfaden, the creator of Goldfaden Skin Care Products. 

After a bout with a serious skin problem during his first year of medical school, Dr. Goldfaden was drawn to specialize in Dermatology.  "My skin problem was so uncomfortable both physically and psychologically. After a visit to a trained DERMATOLOGIST, I was surprised at how quickly you could help someone with such a debilitating problem." 

Over his thirty years in practice, Dr. Goldfaden's reputation as a world-class dermatologist spread throughout Florida and eventually the whole country. With his welcoming smile and comforting manner, Dr. Goldfaden's success as a dermatologist isn't surprising.  "What I love about dermatology is that in a single day I can see all ages and genders, from infants to ninety year olds.  It is very rewarding.  I've always been a people person and being in dermatology allows me to communicate with individuals on a medical and personal level." 

After a lifetime spent treating damage to the skin of his patients from the Florida sun, Dr. Goldfaden is an expert in the sorts of skin problems many of us deal with on a day-to-day basis.  These are problems such as early aging, wrinkling, and cancers.  "The major mistakes I see people make on a daily basis are abusing their skin as a result of smoking or tanning, letting their skin problems go on for too long untreated, and not following an appropriate skin care regimen."  

Frustrated by the products available on the market, Dr. Goldfaden began seeking out alternative approaches to combating skin problems.  Like so many great discoveries, his wasn't far from home.  "What happened was," he chuckles, "I was looking for the secret ingredient, something that would be consistent throughout my product lines.  I started to notice that my mother-in-law, who lived into her nineties, who smoked, ate poorly, and treated her skin inappropriately, had no real signs of aging.  I asked her aide what she was doing and the only thing unusual was that her aide, who happened to be South African, had been giving her large quantities of red tea to drink."

As it happens, red tea, also known as Rooibos, is one of the most potent of all antioxidants because it contains high levels of SOD (super oxide dismutase.) SOD breaks down free radicals in the skin that are created by sun exposure, daily pollutants, and smoking.  Dr. Goldfaden's red tea is organically grown in a small area in South Africa.  "After many years of working with the recipe we arrived at the formula.  I was making everything in my office lab, following simple trial and error."

Now in possession of his breakthrough signature ingredient, Dr. Goldfaden set about creating the Goldfaden product line.  "My ultimate goal is to allow people to have a relatively simple skin care regimen that allows them to both prevent skin damage and restore their skin to what it was when they were younger."
